Inventory

Keep variant stock separate from a product-wide count

A size or colour combination can have its own quantity. A product total cannot tell you whether the specific option promised to a customer is available.

What to do

  1. Identify the exact variant before editing its quantity.
  2. Where the adjustment dialog shows a variant subtitle, check that subtitle as well as the product name.
  3. Use whole sellable units and include the variant reference in the adjustment note.
  4. Refresh the variant view and compare it with the counted items.

What you should see

The change should belong to the intended variant, not another size or the parent product.

If it does not work

The adjustment component can display variant context, but routing to that variant depends on its caller. If your screen shows no variant context, do not assume a product-level action changes the desired option. Ask for clarification rather than compensating with unrelated stock changes.

For support, include the screen name, time, app version and a redacted error. Never share passwords, OTPs, payment PINs or secret keys.
