Recover from an uncertain stock-adjustment response

A connection error does not establish whether the server applied an adjustment. Repeating it immediately can make reconciliation harder.

What to do

  1. Keep the product name, quantity, direction and note from the attempted change.
  2. Reopen or refresh its inventory row when the connection is stable.
  3. Review transaction history for the same movement and time.
  4. Retry only when you have established that the intended movement was not recorded; otherwise investigate the difference.

What you should see

One intended movement should be represented once. The refreshed balance and history should explain each other.

If it does not work

Do not make an equal-and-opposite adjustment as an automatic workaround: the first request may still have succeeded. If the result remains unclear, stop stock edits on that item and send a redacted support report with the time and product reference.

For support, include the screen name, time, app version and a redacted error. Never share passwords, OTPs, payment PINs or secret keys.
