Why saved payout details are masked

ON FILE shows a masked UPI ID or account number so the full saved value is not returned to the phone. Masking is intentional, not evidence that characters were lost.

What to do

  1. Open Direct Pay and compare the visible account ending, holder name or UPI handle with your own records.
  2. Do not attempt to expand or reconstruct the hidden characters.
  3. If the value needs changing, enter the complete replacement from a trusted record.
  4. Remember that saving replaces all methods; include every method you intend to retain.

What you should see

The masked display gives enough context to recognise the method while keeping the full number out of the app response.

If it does not work

Do not send complete payout details to a public help thread to ask whether masking is normal. If the visible ending is wrong, stop using the affected method and resolve the saved details privately before inviting more transfers.

For support, include the screen name, time, app version and a redacted error. Never share passwords, OTPs, payment PINs or secret keys.
