Wall décor can look small in a close-up and enormous in a room mock-up. It can also appear ready to hang when the listing does not actually include any mounting hardware.
Make the physical product clear before discussing how it might look in a room. Do not turn a decorative listing into unsupported installation advice.
State the outer dimensions
Measure the complete item, including a frame or projecting edge where relevant. If the artwork area is smaller than the outer size, identify both.
For irregular shapes, explain the longest and widest points. A single diameter is not useful for a shape that is not circular.
Use consistent units and show the orientation. A customer should not have to guess whether the first number is height or width.
Identify weight and supplied parts
If weight is relevant, measure the finished item and state what is included in that figure. Do not estimate from a similar product.
List any supplied hanging attachments or hardware accurately. Distinguish an attachment on the item from fixings for the customer's wall.
Do not claim that included hardware suits every wall type. Installation suitability depends on circumstances beyond a product photograph.
Use room images honestly
A room setting can help with scale, but the item must be represented at a plausible size. Label a digital room visualisation if that is what it is.
Do not enlarge the product to create a more dramatic composition. Keep a dimensioned plain view available so the buyer can check the physical size.
Show how a multi-piece arrangement is laid out without implying that every object in the scene is included.
Explain sets and spacing separately
For a group of wall pieces, list the size of each component. If you show an overall arrangement, explain that the total span depends on the spacing chosen.
Do not present one arrangement width as though it were the fixed size of a single product. The customer may choose different gaps.
A simple layout reference can show what was photographed while leaving installation decisions appropriately separate.
Describe surface and finish
Show texture, edges and the reverse where useful. Identify reflective, raised or delicate elements that may not be obvious in a front view.
Keep material claims tied to evidence. Do not call a printed surface hand-painted unless that describes the actual process.
For artwork and reproductions, use the catalogue distinction guide to avoid blurring the type of product.
Set an installation boundary
Provide the manufacturer's or maker's verified instructions where available. If your business does not provide installation, say so.
Do not recommend a load rating, adhesive, drill fixing or wall attachment from guesswork. Direct customers to suitable professional or manufacturer guidance when their wall or situation requires assessment.
A statement such as “easy to install anywhere” can create a promise the product information cannot support.
Check the delivery offer
Large or fragile pieces may require a specific packing and delivery arrangement. Confirm the service for the actual dimensions rather than treating the item like a small accessory.
Explain what arrives assembled and what, if anything, remains to be done. Do not imply that a frame is included when the listing is for the artwork alone.
Keep delivery limitations and any genuine additional charges visible before confirmation.
Review the page as a planning tool
A customer should be able to measure their available space, understand the supplied item and identify what installation information remains to be checked.
If they still need to guess the outer size, contents or mounting arrangement, add the missing fact. More room photographs will not solve a missing measurement.
Accurate wall-décor information helps someone decide whether an object belongs in their space without making your store responsible for installation promises it has not assessed.
Keep a separate field for the framed size when both framed and unframed options exist. The customer's available wall space should be compared with the selected option, not the smallest number in the description.
Examples are illustrative. Confirm current features, charges and suitability before making a business decision.
