A styled shelf can contain several products, props and pieces of furniture. If the listing sells a home-décor set, the customer needs to know which of those objects actually arrive.
Start with the contents. A coordinated appearance is not enough to define the purchase.
Name every included component
List the items and quantities in the set. Use product names that your packing team can identify, not only mood-based labels.
If the photograph includes a plant, books or a tray that is not supplied, label them as styling props. Do not assume the customer will recognise which objects belong to your catalogue.
Keep the selling unit visible near the price: one set with a defined number of pieces.
Give each piece its own measurements
A set-level size can be misleading because the arrangement depends on spacing. Provide the dimensions of each object.
If you show an overall display footprint, explain that it describes the photographed arrangement rather than a fixed assembled product.
For nested or stackable pieces, distinguish the stored arrangement from the individual dimensions. Do not imply a function that has not been established.
Explain the relationship between pieces
Say whether the objects share a finish, material or design motif. If variation is intentional, show it.
Do not describe a set as matching when the components are only broadly similar and the differences matter visually. A customer may be choosing the group precisely for coordination.
Where handmade variation affects the set, inspect the actual combination before packing rather than pairing pieces at random.
Separate functional claims
A decorative bowl, candle holder and vessel may each have different intended uses. Do not apply one broad safety or suitability statement to the whole set.
Only describe functions supported for the actual components. This guide does not establish heat, food-contact, electrical or load-bearing suitability.
If a component is decorative only, make that limitation visible rather than allowing the styled scene to imply another use.
Keep stock linked to components
If the items are also sold separately, availability for the set depends on all required parts. A complete set cannot be promised simply because its largest piece remains in stock.
Use a component record and account for reservations or damaged items. A manual record is acceptable if it accurately reflects the physical stock.
When a component becomes unavailable, do not substitute a similar object without explaining the change and obtaining the appropriate agreement.
Photograph contents and arrangement
Include one plain image of all supplied pieces and another showing a possible arrangement. The first explains the purchase; the second offers context.
Keep the scale honest and identify props. Do not use image editing to make the set appear larger or more numerous.
For specific product types, link to relevant details such as ceramic finishes or wall dimensions.
Pack each component deliberately
Check the complete contents before wrapping. Protect pieces from contacting one another and choose packaging suitable for their shapes.
A set may need more than one internal compartment even when it fits inside one outer box. Test the arrangement with representative samples and follow the delivery provider's requirements.
Keep a clear internal record of the final contents where useful, without exposing customer information.
Handle support at component level
If a customer reports an issue with one piece, identify it accurately. A set name alone may not tell your team which object needs assessment.
Explain the available resolution through your actual process and applicable obligations. Do not assume that every component can be replaced independently or that the customer must always accept a different finish.
A well-defined home-décor set simplifies selection without hiding the objects inside it. The buyer understands what they receive, and your team can check the parcel against the same precise promise rather than recreating a styled photograph from memory.
If customers can choose a colour combination, record each component's selection separately. One set-level colour name may not capture a mixed arrangement that has been agreed during the enquiry.
Examples are illustrative. Confirm current features, charges and suitability before making a business decision.
