A preview and a saved template are different
The current merchant app offers a template catalogue with preview and apply actions. That distinction matters: viewing a design should not be confused with changing what customers see. Use the preview to compare presentation, then apply intentionally and wait for the confirmation.
Judge more than the first screen
Bring representative product photographs, a long product name and your actual category structure into the decision. A layout that looks impressive with demonstration images can be difficult to maintain with the assets you have. Inspect product discovery and the buying journey, not only the hero section.
Confirm the store is ready for the change
Website-management controls depend on the store's live state in the inspected app. Complete genuine profile requirements rather than entering invented data to unlock a screen. After a confirmed template change, use Preview Website and verify that you are looking at your merchant address.
Keep capability claims specific
A template is not a promise that every visible demonstration section is editable in every version. The content editor is driven by the selected template's fields. This page does not promise arbitrary layout editing, custom font uploads or unlimited design variations. Evaluate the available design and editing controls together before making a commitment.
UNDERSTANDING THE WORKFLOW
Choosing a store template is different from changing your store content
A template establishes a presentation structure. It does not supply accurate merchant information just because its preview looks complete.
Three separate decisions The inspected oBizee template screen loads its available catalogue and separates design selection from content and brand-colour editing. It also includes unavailable and empty-catalogue states. A screenshot of a design is not evidence that it is selectable for every store at every moment.
Choose a structure around the information customers need to evaluate your products. Then check your own copy and photographs inside it. Finally inspect the colours on important controls and text.
Evaluate with real catalogue shapes A long product title, a portrait photograph and a missing optional field reveal different problems from a short title and a perfect demonstration image. Include those cases in your evaluation. Check the bag and checkout as well as the homepage.
Avoid a false promise No template can guarantee a sales increase. A useful selection makes your products understandable and the next action clear without misrepresenting the catalogue.
Use the template-selection capability page for the supported controls. Keep the exact available catalogue and any rollout announcement tied to current deployment evidence rather than an old design inventory.
