Product options that preserve the choice behind an order

Organise size, colour and other combinations without making customers explain their selection again.

A choice should remain identifiable after checkout

An order for a medium blue item is not the same as an order for a product called T-shirt. The current product editor supports option names, values and combination-level information. Use it to make the customer's selection explicit rather than relying on a later chat to recover what they meant.

Define combinations you actually sell

Begin with the real axes of choice. Size and colour can form combinations; a custom design consultation may need a different workflow. Give each option a meaningful label and remove combinations you cannot supply. The editor requires named values and valid combination prices. That structure helps prevent a half-created option table, but it does not decide your range for you.

Check price and stock at the combination level

The inspected product flow carries variant prices directly. Do not assume that a visible base figure is automatically added to every variant price. Similarly, an omitted stock field and an explicit zero are not the same input. Review the intended combination on the storefront and compare it with the saved record.

Evaluate with your hardest ordinary product

Test the most common option and a scarce option, including how the title and selection appear to a buyer. Keep unusual personalised work separate until its requirements are understood. This page does not promise unlimited combinations, automatic sizing advice or stock synchronisation with every external sales channel.

UNDERSTANDING THE WORKFLOW

Product options should identify the exact item a customer buys

“Blue, medium” needs to identify a real combination, not merely decorate a description. If colour and size influence availability or price, a buyer needs to choose them explicitly.

Combinations, not loose labels The inspected oBizee editor handles option definitions alongside individual combinations with their own values. A selection is therefore more than text that happens to appear in a chat. The product form also contains handling for older option data; that is not evidence that every historical catalogue is ready without checking.

Consider a shirt available in two sizes and two colours. List the combinations you actually sell. Do not imply that all four exist merely because both size names and both colour names appear.

Separate price evidence from presentation A product-level price is not enough to demonstrate what each combination will cost. Check the selected combination in the storefront and carry that same choice into the bag. Use distinctive names rather than internal shorthand customers cannot interpret.

A useful evaluation Prepare one product with the most demanding real combinations in your range. Verify labels, image associations and prices before editing the rest of the catalogue. This is a controlled suitability check, not a promise that options eliminate every inventory mistake. The options feature page owns the detailed capability explanation.
