Replace repeated explanations with a usable product record
If every enquiry begins with the same questions about price, size or what is included, the catalogue is not yet carrying enough of the conversation. oBizee's current product screen brings a title, description, price, images and category into one record. That gives you a place to explain a repeatable product without treating every buyer as a new custom brief.
Prepare the information before opening the form
Use a real product name, photographs of the item being sold and a description that explains the buying decision. A crochet flower listing might state the finished dimensions, materials and what the buyer receives. The form's minimum-length checks prevent empty entries; they do not establish that the information is useful or accurate. You still own that judgement.
Keep simple products and options distinct
A product with one selling price is different from a product with selectable combinations. The current screen validates those paths differently. Do not bury an option-specific price in prose while offering an unrelated base amount. Prepare the actual combinations first and check the customer-facing choice after saving.
Use a representative product to evaluate fit
Before committing a whole catalogue, prepare one straightforward item and one with the most demanding options you sell. Check the saved category, image order and buyer-facing information. This is a better suitability test than counting form fields. Bulk import, automatic classification and universal marketplace synchronisation are not promised by this page.
UNDERSTANDING THE WORKFLOW
Why a product record is more useful than another sales message
A product record gives the same buying information a stable home. That matters when a seller is answering several conversations about one item: a price in one chat, dimensions in another and a photograph somewhere else are difficult to keep consistent.
What the product screen actually brings together The inspected oBizee product editor includes the product name, description, price, images and category. It also distinguishes a straightforward product from one with selectable combinations. These fields organise information; they do not verify that a photograph, description or price is accurate.
For a handmade coaster, explain whether the price buys one piece or a set. State the size and material, show the actual item, and choose a category a buyer would recognise. This is an illustrative preparation example, not a merchant result.
When this helps—and when it does not Use a product record for information that should remain consistent between buyers. Keep a genuinely bespoke agreement separate until the specification is settled. A saved description should not silently replace a customer-specific commitment.
Before sharing the product, compare its buyer-facing presentation with the saved record. Check the unit being sold, images and selectable prices. Saving successfully is not the same as completing that check.
Next step Use the product-catalogue feature guide for capability details. The related help article owns the exact setup steps; this explanation is about deciding what belongs in the record.
