Choose a festival promotion your operations can support

Choose a festival offer by checking product relevance, contribution, stock and dispatch capacity before announcing a deadline or discount.

Turn social interest into a workable order process →

A festival campaign creates a deadline in the customer's mind. They may need the product for a particular occasion, not merely sometime after ordering.

Build the promotion around what the business can genuinely supply. A larger discount or busier content calendar will not compensate for unclear gift contents, unavailable stock or an unrealistic arrival promise.

Choose the customer situation

Decide whether the campaign concerns gifting, personal use, event preparation or another real need. Select products that fit that situation rather than placing a festival label on the whole catalogue.

Explain why the range is relevant without assuming everybody celebrates or buys in the same way. Keep the offer welcoming and specific.

Do not claim that a product is traditionally required or culturally appropriate without a reliable basis.

Check the offer's numbers

Identify the actual product and fulfilment costs and the effect of any promotion. A higher order count does not automatically mean a better result.

Use the discount guide to examine the contribution of a proposed reduction. Do not create a fictitious earlier price to make the saving look larger.

If a bundle is involved, define its contents and component availability before advertising the total.

Establish capacity before the cutoff

Count sellable stock and review production, packing and collection capacity. For made-to-order work, include existing commitments.

A campaign cutoff should reflect a real operational decision. Do not present it as a guaranteed arrival deadline unless the full service supports that promise.

Separate the last date for accepting work from the dispatch estimate and the carrier's transit information.

Prepare the product information

Make the gift or set contents explicit, including whether a box, card or personalisation is included. Photographs often contain styling props that customers may interpret as part of the offer.

Explain custom-message requirements and approval timing where supported. A missing name or note can delay an otherwise ready order.

Use the catalogue checklist and the photography guide to keep the presentation accurate.

Build a campaign with a controlled destination

Link the promotion to the intended range or product. Keep the destination current as items become unavailable.

If a substitute is offered, describe it honestly and obtain agreement where an existing order is affected. Do not let a sold-out headline product silently lead to something different.

Check scheduled messages before they publish. A campaign prepared a week earlier can contain outdated availability or timing.

Plan service communication

Prepare accurate answers for delivery estimates, set contents, personalisation and order changes. Give helpers a clear route for questions they cannot approve.

Do not send promotional reminders to people without appropriate permission or ignore requests to stop. Service updates for existing orders need their own purpose and wording.

Keep a next-update time for delays rather than leaving customers to chase during an already time-sensitive period.

Watch the campaign while it runs

Review new commitments against capacity. If an item or delivery option becomes unreliable, adjust or pause the affected offer rather than continuing until the planned end date.

Track cancellations, fulfilment issues and support load as well as order requests. These outcomes help explain whether the campaign was operationally successful.

Avoid changing accepted terms silently when the queue grows. Communicate affected orders through the proper process.

Check any genuine offer conditions across every placement: minimum quantity, eligible products, dates and delivery coverage. A correct condition on the website does not repair a contradictory promotional message elsewhere.

Close the campaign cleanly

Remove expired claims and review links in public posts, saved replies and profile destinations. A temporary offer should not remain as a misleading evergreen instruction.

Reconcile stock, unresolved orders and any remaining customer promises. Then record what you would change for the next campaign.

Use the inventory guide for commitments. A festival promotion works when the offer, deadline and fulfilment plan describe the same reality—not when urgency produces more orders than the shop can responsibly handle.

Use this guide, then test your own workflow.
